Junk Food - Competition Entry

This is an entry for the "Junk Food" competition on . I had originally thought of making clay foods, but... I'm... well... lazy. Besides, it's not as fun as the play on words that I decided on.

These junk food pieces are actually made of junk. They're junk-junk food. xD What kind of junk you ask? Well, let's start on the left-hand side...

Hot Dog
The hot dog itself is a lollipop stick that I just happened to have eaten today. I just cut the stick down to size and colored it with a red marker. The mustard is actually a rolled up piece of paper towel that's been drenched with yellow food-coloring. If you look closely at the picture on the left hand side, you can see that the buns are made from expired Ibuprofen tablets. xP I couldn't find anything to make buns besides those... and they just happened to be the perfect color, too!

Burgers and Fries
I had a blast making this one. xD I call it my "4cent burger" because it's made from 4 pennies (2 Caribbean pennies and two American pennies) and two Cookie Crisp cereal pieces that have gone stale. Can't we just pretend that those are sesame seeds and not chocolate chips? xD lol You can see what the pennies look like in the picture on the upper right. I colored the squiggly flower-shaped penny (yeah... our penny's flower-shaped) green for lettuce and the other Caribbean penny red for the tomato.
The plate is just a smashed Coke bottle cap that I normally use as pie tins for my clay pies. And lastly, the fries are match sticks that I've colored yellow and chopped to bits. xD

Chocolate Cake
This is the first thing I thought of when I first looked at the tops of water bottles. lol It's just been painted brown and then a scrap piece of red ribbon is glued around the outside. The picture on the upper left shows the bottom of the cake and the picture to the right of that shows it on top of the water bottle. I rolled up pieces of wrapping tissue and painted it red for the cherries.

Ice Cream Cone
I didn't have brown beads or else I'd make a Neopolitan ice cream cone. Instead, I made it Cherry, Strawberry, and Vanilla. :9 The cone itself is made from tin foil that's been painted brown. The "ice cream" portion is just three hair beads that I got a while back when I wanted to attempt melting beads. There is a swirl of cream on top made with a rolled up piece of paper towel and the cherry on the very top is actually a match stick painted red. You can see the match stick on the right hand side. The shaft of the stick goes through the beads and the cherry top just sticks out. lol
