Here is yet another commissioned piece that I just finished for Becky. I'm not sure if she's on dA but if she is- HI BECKY!
It's of her wedding cake (so pretty) and I just *adore* the fall colors (I'm a Fall baby myself :3). Anyway, the chrysanthemums were a bit of a pain to make, but the results, I think, are worth it!
Material: Loew & Cornell chalk pastels, glaze, Sculpey III, Fimo, Kato Polyclay, silver leaf (because I hate foil)
Dimensions: about 3" tall and 3" wide at the base, top tier is about 1" in diameter
Time: approximately 1 month, off and onSize Reference can be found here: Click!
Each flower is handmade and then hand-brushed to give it that lighter color. Every leaf (all 30-some-odd leaves) is hand cut and sculpted, then brushed to give them their fall colors.
